About PSHT
History
Pathfinder College of Health Technology, Iragbiji was approved by the Osun State Ministry of Education in 26th November, 2014 as a Tertiary Institution. Academic activities started in September, 2014 with Health Technician Cadre. By September, 2015, Community Health Extension workers (CHEW) was added, having been accredited by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN). In June 2015, Health Information Management (HIM) programme was accredited by the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) in 2017 while Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) course was accredited in 2022.
Pathfinder College of Health Technology is set up to create a center of academic excellence that contributes to national development through training, research, and manpower development of middle-level healthcare providers and practitioners. The Slogan “Culture and Moral” has been a sustaining motivation that led to the realization of the vision of the founder.
The founder, Bisi Olaboopo had many years of experience in the health sector at the state level. He had a strong passion and vision to close the gap that existed as he noticed that many intending candidates for admission could not be absolved in the existing schools of health technology. Hence, the establishment of Pathfinder School of Health Technology Iragbiji.
His vision became a reality in 2014 when the Pathfinder School of Health Technology was
established.
